Assignment 1 : Famous Architect's Building

For our first assignment, we were required to choose an architect and study one of their buildings, as well as identify the structural and architectural materials they used. I chose LluÃs Domènech i Montaner's Palau de la Musica Catalana. What caught my eye about this building is its complexity. I feel that this project allowed me to discover more about Palau de la Musica Catalana and it also helped me understand why the architect decided to use the materials he used for the building.
Assignment 2 : Construction Detailing of Building Elements
5 July 2021
For assignment 2, we were required to work in groups. Our task was to find a two-storey terrace house in Malaysia and to produce a set of drawings of the details of the house such as its foundation, superstructure, sections, and plans. The house we used belongs to our group mate so it was not difficult to get the measurements and plans. I found this assignment to be very interesting as well as very helpful because it helped me learn more about the process of construction and it also allowed me to practice my technical drawings.
